He goes through the motion of planning the wedding with his fiancé, but his life is changed forever when he bumps into the beautiful Michelle at the Honolulu airport. I downloaded this free book, thinking it was a whole book. It really isn't. It gets right to the crux of the story and just ends. She finds out she's pregnant, that her grandmother is very ill, that she must go home, and she meets a good guy. But none of these resolve before the end of the story. Nothing resolves at all. It's a gimmick to get you to buy the rest of the book.Somewhere in the intro it says it's a sample, but that's not really accurate either. Samples are billed as samples on the Amazon site and have a banner across the corner of the cover. This book does not do that.
I don't think I've read this author before. This wasn't a good way to try out her writing. The plot is well written and does keep my interest until it ends abruptly.

I really loved this book. I believe the Lord has gifted this author with talent for His purpose. This book touched me. I believe the Lord used this book for circumstances in my life requiring forgiveness that I struggle with. I really like this author.
The ending of this book leaves your hanging, with a feeling of being cheated. A few loose ends to tie up in the next book is acceptable. The way this book ends is not what I expect from a novel. It's like this is Part One of a continuing story, not a complete novel. I will not buy more from this author.
Daniel runs into a woman at the airport and she falls down and scatters the contents of her purse. Michelle does not realize that she has Daniels air line tickets for his return to California. He is leaving Hawaii to get married and Michelle is pregnant alone after being dumped by the father of her baby who she thought she was marrying. She is on her way home to Hawaii from California to see her grand mother who is very ill. There seems to be a connection between Daniel and Michelle.
This is a great story with an surprising twist. I would have given it five stars if it would not end with a terrible cliff-hanger. I find it obnoxious that authors, and even Christian ones split there books in parts and one is "forced" to buy the second (or third or fourth, ...) book in order to be able to read the story to its end.
Very good read, a little too brief in my opinion. I loved reading about lead female character Michelle's journey back to her original home in Hawaii. She has and is enduring some challenges, but I truly think Michelle is much stronger and courageous than she realizes. I look forward to read more book in this series.
I really enjoyed what I was reading, but it really shocked that the book ended without being a complete story. I can see that stories beget more stories so you can have a series of books, but as far as I know, the first book is normally a complete story to begin with. So unless you have the second book, I wouldn't start this one. Aside from that, I liked the expressions of faith, the recognition of wrong, and second chances with God. The characters and setting and relationship issues were interesting ant appealing. I would disagree with the assumption that God has someone picked out for people to marry though, we don't know if that's true. There are many Christian singles who are still single in spite of their desires to marry. It's also an unusual romance though to put 2 people with their very different love-relationship backgrounds together in a story, but it gives you a good feeling to think a girl with that history can still find her happy-ever-after.
This book is basically the first few chapters to a full length story. Probably this was done because it was free and they want you to purchase the second part. I wasn't even tempted because it is not a well written story or really very interesting. While I liked the idea of a Christian love story, it was sort of a let down. The characters lacked complexity and I never got sucked into the story. It was a beach read because I'd already downloaded it onto my . Don't waste your time.
